A sum up of Hols. |
I've really been neglecting my blog for quite some time, have been rather busy recently & when i'm back home, nothing attracts me more than the bed.
Time passes really fast, thought the holidays were long & in a blink of an eye, school has started for 2 weeks.
And during this 6 wks period, there were so much things happening & changes both good and the bad. It was a mixture of laughter, joy as well as emotional struggles & many sleepness nights. I've lost something, but I've gain a lot of things as well in terms of how much I have learnt & the way my mind works. This is certainly something I'll never learn thru books or internet but in real life experience & lessons, it really mould me a lot & makes me so much stronger. When I put my heart & soul into something, be it ppl, friendship etc & when it is broken, I'll take a very long time to recover but I never move backwards. Thou I move slower than the others, I'm still moving forward & I believe the pace will get faster as time passes by. Most importantly, I'm back into the house of God which is priceless. I started to learn how to be more contented with myself & my life compared to the past, thou I may not be as fortunate as others in terms of my family background. God is good to place good people in my life to guide me along, and people who cares. And i should really start apprecitating them. :)

The last few weeks of holidays were great, as what I have planned. Working like a cow in the 1st few weeks & enjoying myself in the last few weeks.
Went East Coast park for cycling with mel, Joel, warren & shane.
I dint realise hw nice the scenery is until that day because usually other than the chalets there, I don't really go walking around the park. u'll feel so much relaxed after a ride at the park & I seriously think Singaporeans shld do that more often instead of always being so stressful over work & school. Cycling at a slow pace, with the wind sweeping gently past you and appreciating the little things around you.
After which, many more other peeps came and join us over at dinner at Simpang. A really nice chill out session, with the indians rapping orders for us. How cool can it be? ;)
Next was Sentosa with some LRM peeps again, played some stupid games but it can be quite fun to do some silly things sometimes.
I'm quite lazy to type, so i'll let the pics do the talkings.
Mission of the day: BURY SHAWN.
Workers doing the job..
Half way there.
Succeeded.
Prepared to stay here for 1 week with all the food ready.
Went to Kbox with those lovlies, Qy and bev. and seriously, I'm a person who is not into singing & perhaps hardly sing at all. But I just sang my heart out during the kbox session with the girls, it feels pretty good to do things that you don't usually do at times. :)
Theres still so much things to blog but i'm pretty lazy. So hws your halloween?
Sometimes it feels blessed to go to the extra mile to bless someone in some point of their life, be it friends, family or even a bypasser. Especially the times when one is down & no help seem to be avaible, u'll be the special one who pull the person out from the deep sea who is going to drown anytime.
Went to Jayne's friend house in the middle of night @ 12 + am to give her a bday surprise attack thou I do not know her. She stayed in a condo, hence it seems a lil wierd to light up those candles near the pool as we were quite paranoid that we would be caught by the security any time.
When she finally came down, she was really surprised and seem to be touched. That already, had make everything worth the trip. :)
Talking about school, service methology is really a killer module. Imagine someone got yelled right infront of the face because he replied "Ya" instead of a "Yes sir". I was literally shocked and my whole body jerked when he shouted at the person standing just near me.
However, tough as it might be, sometimes I do enjoy this module. It is really challenigng & I definately had learn quite a lot from just the beginning 2 weeks in terms of endurance, will power & skills.
So ysd what we had done was learning how to open wine bottles & I'm so glad I had managed to unscrew a cork from a wine bottle in 13 seconds after being forced to go rounds after rounds of trials. I had also learned to carry 5 bottles of wine with my left hand as well as a heavy brick walking 2 rounds of the place.
" You can't give up, you can do it" Thats the whole thing about this. The brain is just an amazing thing that play tricks on you.
And I can predict the next few weeks are definately isnt going to be easy! :) |

Mel & me took a lot of pics at London, which is a certain area in Malaysia that really looks like London so Paulina decided to name it as London. I just got you cheated, dint I? :P That proves that you guys have not gone Genting for decades. haha.
Anyways, it had been a fun trip thou it is only Malaysia of KL & Genting. Felt really independent, because we had booked everything on our own like the individual bus tickets, hotel, finding the bus location etc instead of going for packages which is much more expensive.
Went on the 9th & the bus was 8am at JB, thank Goodness woodlands is so close there and we wont have to wake up too early. Mel the screamer came over to my hse and in the end, we only catch a hour sleep before we headed down to JB to catch the bus.
And we had our breakfast there. :D Mellissa is always very happy whenever she sees food!
Finally when 8am has reached, we thought the bus is ready but we saw no bus and there was hardly any people waiting there too. We waited for a few mins, and we were asked to board a small van which there is no one except the driver whom were told to fetch us to another bus interchange to take the bus to KL.
Thats how the van looked like, a mini van which always appear in Tv dramas to kidnap people. :X I noe i'm acting paranoid again, but seriously it looks like one.
We finally board the bus. which is near 9am den. Seriously so cheap, ticket for RM 35 which is quite comfy. We slept & even watch high sch musical 2 with my laptop. ;)
After 4-5 hours.. So this is KL, the traffic.
Mel had booked online a hotel & when we reached Kl, we were finding the location of it. People, when u go malaysia try not to take a cab which the drivers don't use metre. They will seriously mark up the price really much way higher esp when u're nt a local there!
Our hotel..
Our fav table and spot where we always sit for our breakfast.
Directly outside, the view is KL CC the twin towel & it is esp nice when its at night.
We were so hungry den and headed for lunch at Sugei Wang, and its so cheap & serve mouth watering food.
______
Another advise, try to take monorail as often as possible instead of the cab because there is really a huge difference in price. Unless, there is a need to change line den theres a big NoNo because the lines here are seriously so confusing unlike in Sg. You may end up being lost & taking cab back instead ( we din't chance upon this thou)
2nd day, we bought a bus ticket to Genting and its again, so cheap. Rm 3.50 only! Plus the cable car total is Rm 8.50.
Its been a decades since the last time I took cable car there, and I was kinda excited for a moment. -_-
Beware, these pics are going to make all your hair stand. This is what food can do.
Tired now! next post continue..
Ps: Kboxing with Bev & Qy is fun fun. :) & I really sing my heart out & don't care abt image. Life is short, enjoy while u can.. :D |

Past few days have been a fruitful one for me, shoppings, dinner with family, sports, sentosa etc.
Went to JB with Mellisa on Fri, Taihong had his ankle swollen hence he couldn't make it last min. Tc alrights.
I realise I was quite paranoid once I have reached the custom & step into JB. Making sure that my bag is kept close with me, passport in my pocket etc.. And its quite a funny sight when I thought back. haha.
As I have heard a lot of cases which happened to my friends and relatives getting robbed etc in Jb, thats why I became extra careful especially when there is only the 2 of us. My dad almost gt kidnapped in JB 1 year ago, & he always warned me not to go there unless accompanied by guys/adults etc.
When he told me the story on Fri, i was quite startled. Once he & his workers were having lunch at JB as he used to has a factory there, and suddenly 2 guys appeared from the back with a knife & threatened to stab him if he refuse to follow them into the car.
They followed them but thank Goodness, they managed to push those hooligans away when they were near the car and escaped thou he had quite a deep cut on his chest while struggling. But at least they managed to escape and are safe now.
okays, but Mellisa and I were safe. I guess i'm just being too paranoid after those rantings by my family/relatives etc.
Went to shop around at those shopping malls there & the movies are reallyyyyy cheap. Students have got special promotions too, after promo is RM6. which is like only $2.50 sing? Perhaps not even enough to get you a plate of chicken rice in food court!
We watched Ratoutllie ( wrong spelling i noe) & I was suprised when she has not watch it as well. And the show Knocked up is still showing in the cinema there! Which I was so desperate to watch it when it was shown in Singapore b4 but missed it. awww.
Had lunch at vivo & it was really cheap as well.
Thats RM btw..
Surprisingly, we dint bought anythings there as nothing caught my eyes. I still prefer to shop in SG thou..
KL & Genting tmr with Mellisa, just the 2 of us. Wish us to come back alive in 1 piece. :X
After Malaysia, I rushed to Orchard for dinner at somerset with family as its sis's bday. The price has increased to $30/ pax.
Happy bday sis!
Thats my fav of all there, and I attacked all the way. Unlimited supply of Raw sashimi! Tinkerbell again, wanted to treat us to MOS on Friday but as I din't go this time round.
Brought a Cd rom game from Jb and as I was too bored at home, started to try playin games. Which I really hardly played those computer games, Mall Tycoon its the one i bought. Got me hooked a little as i played till 6am in the morning.
Woke up at 8am the next day and head to Sentosa! Watched some Frisbee competition by those usual sentosa people as they took part in it. Somehow it reminded me of netball in secondary school, when u replace the frisbee with a netball.
The team's effort, defending, passing etc. Just reminded me of that.
As there were a lot of breaks in the games, we had some self entertainment with PJ, Jayne & Rick. While the rest had rest while waiting for the nxt game. Went to the end of Siloso & played whatever we can, some guys asked us to join in along with their group and claim that they do not know how to play volleyball at all. But in the end, it wasnt the case lah.
But had a lil fun as they were really a bunch of jokers.
PJ and I. :)
And i rushed off to work after that, spoils the fun i noe. However, work @ SG pool was fun as well with Darren & chee hwee. The 2 big jokers, again.
More time & fun with those sec sch peeps. ;)
Am I going to lose another close friend?

I think my blog is getting died every min. I promise i'm gonna make it more interesting by posting pics or wadeva, soon!
So officially i still have 21 more days b4 sch reopen, & I really want to make full use of this hols like taking up a skill/sport ( just to learn something new) Also, i wan to take the chance to visit some places which I wouldnt have the chance to do it when sch starts. Like the zoo, mint toy mueseum. :)
Kickboxing (with Jayne & maybe Pj as well?) & volleyball are my new found interest. At times I can feel like a drop out, lets see. All my sec sch friends from other poly have started sch long ago ( & I wonder why TP hols is longggg), peeps from LRM are mostly busy with work.
And also, story books. yes, story books. I've completed like 4 books?
Dave pelzer's, Kevin Lewis are some gd intros! True story that inspires.
Somehow romance bks that are of fantasy doesnt appeal to me at all. They just bring you to some sort of fantasy world & in the end all you learn is how to fantasies.
Last sat, went to Sentosa again with the usuals @Km8.( & i 4got to take any pics) But thankfully, PJ & Jayne came along this time as well & the new noob to volleyball isnt just myself alone. All the expatriates were there as usual, & we gotta know a guy name Patrick who is 1 of the exps as well.
He is really a good teacher & ally which he likes to address himself as a coach. ;) So patient yet friendly & he taught us some basics to volley.
KL, genting trip is coming with the peeps. Shop till u drop.
It is still in the process of rallying, through all these shit emotional roller coasters that kept repeating & slowly diminishing, The owner is really trying her best. Be it to personate or masquerade. |
